Yesterday, I sat down with Blake to play him the first of the new songs for my next record. I think it went really well. It's going to be a good one, I think. Songs I played him so far are

Ever Since (like we don't know that one by now)
You Could Be Anywhere

Girlfriend Weather
Sweet Anesthesia

Blake came up with some cool edit concepts, many of which have strengthened the music, I think. We didn't get through the whole record, and when I got back home, I just fell asleep for two hours. It's amazing seeing the process starting up again. I'm really proud of these songs, and think a great record will come of them.

Today we travel to WFMU to record live on the air with Lesley. Tomorrow we drive to Philly and tape "World Cafe". It is non-friggin-stop around here.
